His instrument may have been more finely tuned than his awareness, as to what was evolving. All conspiracy theories deserve some depth. She wrote a biography on the man entitled, "All In." If Benghazi was an inside job, it wasn't going to happen without distracting the head of the CIA. If she was in on it, one might say she was a good candidate for the job. Attractive, flirtatious, with eyes only for him, she authored the book on his personal side. If he was focused on her, then he wasn't focused on them. Christopher Stevens is the first U.S. Ambassador to lose his life in the line of duty since 1979.
"You fascinate me..." One can imagine the content of her emails as they were uncovered by the FBI. If she wanted to bring the affair out in the open, she would need to threaten another socialite to launch an investigation. If the affair was being investigated for more that a year, it seems a little odd that it would surface as news just before the hearings of a scandal that is as Senator McCain puts it, "Watergate."
There was a bit of talk regarding the Benghazi affair during the elections. President Obama was said to have left out the word "terrorism" during his statement from the Rose Garden on 9/12/12. He responded during the debate with "get the transcripts." A few republicans have suggested he should have mentioned al-Qaida, but instead he blamed an Islamist Militia. The Islamist Militia, Ansar al-Shariah has ties to al-Qaida. Newsweek suggests the attack came from inside the consulate, due to the many holes in the chain of events, and the lack of evidence suggesting an outsider.
"Lucy" claims to be "devastated" by the damage she caused, but did "Schroeder" ever really notice her? If she was a feint to him and the protests were a feint to those guarding the consulate and the affair is a feint to the public just in time for the Benghazi hearings, well then we must expect something much larger to unfold. Each feint was a deception, which leads to the question of, "Who is the real target?"
