The old world order is struggling to exist against two giants that continue to become friendlier with one another. The relationship between Russia and China was strengthened when China’s new leader, Xi Jinping, made Russia the first priority in foreign relations. The two likeminded nations will set aside any worries about human rights, and move forward with energy. China’s labor may be as appealing to Russia as the currency they have to invest. Both partners are interested in less dependence on the U.S. and Europe, and are looking elsewhere for growth and prosperity. (Weir, 2013)
China has been able to obtain its oil consumption via pipeline from Russia for a couple years. The joint pipeline venture opens the door for other joint innovations. While Russia hasn’t been the most forthcoming with China in their military advancements, it’s only because they would rather profit as their supplier than have them copy their secrets. The recent visit between the two nations led to many new trade agreements including a new arms-sales deal. This contract initiates the largest military technology deal agreed upon between the two this decade. (Rapoza, 2013) Xi Jinping, left Russia with a sense of satisfaction and moved on to Africa.
At the BRICS summit in Africa, Leaders of the five-member nations discussed trade, and cutting dependence on the old world order. To avoid dealing with the IMF (international monetary fund) the members have agreed upon setting up a BRICS development bank to run their transactions through. In order to keep this doomsday machine from exploding it’s best not to attempt to un-trigger it. Brazil, Russia, India, China, and Africa are driving half of the world’s growth.
When its peace you’re after, you must transmit “plan R.” (Kubrick, 1964) That plan will never be initiated unless the western nations interpret a miscommunication about the interests or plans of the BRICS. The growing powers between these nations should not be a threat. In the meantime we’d just like to drop some humanitarian efforts within Syria. All BRICS oppose this intervention in Syria. Without regards for human life, the fail code is already set for this new world order.
We’ll meet again…
